This week we talk about the Soccer Bowl and the Deltas winning. We know there's some bad in the Deltas folding, but we also try to get some good out of it.

Next we talk about the NASL and USSF reportedly working on a settlement that would see NASL continue as a division 2 league. Of course we dive into what it means for FC Edmonton.

This week may seem like a bit of a downer as we talk about the NASL v USSF case with the judge denying the league of an injunction. We break down what it means for the league and some of its teams, especially the fallout for FC Edmonton.

Next we take a look at the Championship semi final matches and how it provided some surprises. We then go on to pick who will win the (possibly last ever) Soccer Bowl. Spoiler: One of us will be right.

On our last part of the podcast, we get a little stats heavy regarding the 2017 season and determine how bad it really was compared to other seasons, notably 2012. It may get a little hard to follow, but look for a blog version in the coming days.

Nathan returns this week! He talks about his time there, more specifically his experience at the Brisbane Roar match. Adam treats him like a guest in asking how it compares to the North American game and how Canada can learn from their growth.

Next we talk about the last match of FC Edmonton's season, and our experience in hosting the viewing party at Arcadia.

And of course, we talk about NASL vs USSF and how it seems to be leaning from our perspective.

With Nathan still in Australia, Adam is joined by Tobi to talk about the final home game of the year. While a loss to Miami FC is something we've grown accustomed to, there was a weird feeling at the end of the game and we share our thoughts on it. And with this weeks match against Puerto Rico FC, we talk about the need for donations to help the devastated island try to recover from Hurricane Maria. Please feel free to donate if you haven't to the Carmelo Anthony Puerto Rico Relief Fund here. For context, Carmelo Anthony is the owner of Puerto Rico FC and has strong ties there.

Up next Greyson Knutson of Eddies TV joins Adam to talk about why he got into broadcasting, why he loves soccer, how he joined the FC Edmonton team and much more!

With Nathan away, Adam is left as the sole hose for this episode. But fear not, as there are a few guests to help fill the void. Up first, we have Tobi come on (for what seems like the 40th time) to talk about FC Edmonton's match against the Cosmos and other nutty stuff relating to soccer in North America as a whole.

Next Adam is joined by Jessica and Katie of the For Kicks Podcast. They react to the NWSL Championship and talk about the league as a whole. We also talked about the upcoming friendlies against the US. And most importantly, we make this crossover happen to talk about FC Edmonton's 'Girls in Soccer Night 2' as it is the focus for the final home game of 2017.

FC Edmonton loses (this description isn't copy-pasted, we promise) but we still find some talking points. While the result was lacklustre, we also go into some problems we are starting to have with the game day production. We also manage to find some good in all of it too, like David Doe's professional debut and the banter with Jacksonville's Zach Steinberger on the corner kicks.

Next we look at the USMNT missing the World Cup. We explore how the USSF needs to be careful and deliberate in cleaning house otherwise they risk falling into the slump Canada is still trying to work itself out of. We also look how the CSA in turn can also look at this and learn from it.

Adam & Nathan start this week by discussing the unfortunate terror attacks this weekend. We focus mainly on what happened locally in Edmonton, as well as what happened in Las Vegas on the heels of it. We think it's important to talk about events like these, and believe sports can help heal and move on from these kind of events.

We move on to talking about the loss this past weekend, again to San Francisco. The big things plaguing the team this week was the absence of Ameobi and poor defending on set plays.

In the second half of the podcast we speculate on all the options we believe are available to FC Edmonton for the 2018 season. We've dipped into it a bit before, but this time we dig deeper on the options and how likely they each may be.

On this episode, we dive deep into FC Edmonton's loss to San Francisco. The starting lineup looked...interesting but ultimately was not as good as the previous week in Indy. Why the changes? We attempt to examine why but only get even more confused (which doesn't seem to take much).

Next, we talk about a recent blog Nathan posted, "Are Supporter Groups Killing Supporter Culture in Edmonton?" We both chime in on what we thing is hurting the growth, and examine a very well done blog in response written by a newer FC Edmonton fan.

And finally, we tease LCRV merch. Would you be into that? Any ideas for designs? Please feel free to let us know what you think!

There's a lot to cover this week! We start by talking about FCE's big win against Indy this past weekend. There was a few lineup changes that we discuss that helped contribute to the result.

Next we move on to discuss Tom Fath admitting to sitting in on Canadian Premier League meetings. We speculate if this means the NASL meetings last week didn't go well. And following that news, we learn that the NASL plans to sue the USSF in a Hail Mary move to save the league. There's also a few interesting notes that happen to get leaked as well.

After this past Sunday's match, we return to being an FC Edmonton supporter therapy session. We break down the frustrating loss and make a few suggestions on how the starting eleven should line up this coming week against, well, the Indy Eleven.

We then proceed to talk about NASL losing it's division sanctioning and the fall out this past week in statements from teams and reaction from the fans.

It also appears that the Delta's front office attempted to do damage control by creating another blog that ended up again just asking fans to do the teams marketing. We explain how wrong this is and how it surely will set up failure for this team.

Our podcast ends on talking about the Benfica vs Rangers friendly match in Hamilton this October and how this can affect CPL hype in the city. This conversation evolved into a discussion about CPL attendance and what's reasonable to expect.

On this episode, we cover the breaking news of NASL losing it's division 2 sanctioning by the USSF. We try to paint a broad picture about what it means for clubs looking to move to MLS (Indy, North Carolina) and the stronger clubs wanting to compete with MLS (Miami). Of course, we finish our thoughts off on this topic by considering what this means for FC Edmonton.

We then look at this past weeks matches, including FCE's rare result in North Carolina. Of course we analyze the table to death and look ahead to this Sunday's match against that same NCFC side (which has never won at Clarke yet)

The podcast ends with our thoughts on the latest signings from the academy, and how they fit into the teams future, as early as next season even.

The Eddies win in San Francisco and we obviously react to it. We talk about the travelling support (which mostly happen to be former guests), how lady luck helped, and of course Tomi's Play of the Week calibre goal!

We then moved on to talk about an interview that Red Nation Online posted about former Eddie Adam Straith, which included how he viewed his time in Edmonton, why he moved back to Germany and his views on the coming Canadian Premier League.

We also looked at FCE bringing in former Canadian U-17 couch Sean Fleming to the coaching ranks. He'll be heading up the U-16 level and we discuss how that's a positive thing for FCE's academy moving forward.

We return to our regular format this week and talk at length about FC Edmonton at length. We look back to the last 2 matches and go over the many things FCE is doing right, and the two major things they can't do: score goals and keep a clean sheet. We also look at results around the league, including Jacksonville's decision to go with actual attendance rather than distributed tickets. There's also a new FCE jersey to discuss, sort of. We look at the FC Edmonton sponsored jersey for the Tour of Alberta. And for fun we talk about how we see FC Edmonton becoming a bigger player in the Canadian Premier League from our perspective.

FC Edmonton GM Jay Ball joins us this week. This conversation (at a pub) was fun as Jay shares his experience in helping turn the awareness and attendance up at FC Edmonton matches. He goes into what he learned last season, how they're succeeding this season and what they can do to improve still. Jay also shares some thoughts on th supporters, the teams philanthropic endeavours, and even a little Canadian Premier League chat (sharing his own personal opinions, of course).

In this weeks podcast, we talk about FCE's win in Indy and how that can help change the perspective of this team's playoff chances with the table being wiped clean for the Fall season. We also get into some other aspects of the match, like Watson's return, Corea's brace and the great showings from Fisk and Fordyce.

We also talk about more players returning from injury, Miami falling out of the US Open Cup, San Francisco getting an attendance boost and more!

This week we are very proud to announce that we have joined the Alberta Podcast Network, powered by ATB! We go through what that means for the show and what you can expect as a listener! You can also find out more about ATB being more than a bank at atb.com/listen

When we get back to our regularly scheduled programming, we discuss this past weekends match against Indy. We included an in depth look at each players performance as well.

We then address the protest in the stands from ESG. We got statements from the team, the group and paid members who were left out of the loop.

In the second half of the podcast, we talk about the open letter from the San Francisco Delta's owner Brian Helmick. We talk at length about how we believe this is being blown out of proportion and some parts we just don't understand coming from an owener.

We then look ahead to next week and take some likely laughable guesses at the scores.

Jul 26, 2017

This week we return with a roster update (so far anyway) of who's in for the fall season. 2 of the 3 are familiar names for FCE fans. We also try to break down what they can add to help FCE have a more positive fall season.

We then move on to talk about Soccer Day in Saskatchewan. We know, this is an Alberta based podcast but we felt it had plenty of connections to Edmonton and news about growth of pro soccer in the Prairies. We run down what's been shared from the town hall meet up that was arranged, and how the crowd could help determine the success of a potential pro team in the 306.

We then do a brief prediction of what we are expecting from FCE for the start of their fall season when they host the Indy Eleven this coming Sunday.

Jul 19, 2017

This week we sit down and grade the individual parts of the team as well as the sum of all parts. We start with the coaching, move on to keepers, then the backline, mids, forwards and the front office. Please note these grades for the players and coaching is purely based on what we saw on the pitch on game days, and the front office was rated on their ability to market the team and draw the crowds.

Also, we were unable to take comment on the Fordyce signing as it happened after recording this episode. We will have a hot take on this next week!

Don't agree with our grades? Let us know where you think we went wrong on Twitter or Facebook (@LoyalCompanyRV)

What a difference a win makes. In this episode, we applaud the efforts of Miller and staff for getting a massive win with a short bench and the unfortunate injury to Nathan Ingham.

We then comment on the newly departed Dean Shiels and talk about why he was just never the 'difference maker' we were told he'd be. We also look to how the team could use his international spot (and salary) to find a replacement.

And we finish it off by previewing the final week of the NASL spring season.

Jul 5, 2017

We took this week to talk at length about #MillerOut, what he's doing wrong, what can be done right, and is this season a write off?

We also address the rumours of Fordyce coming back after being released by FC Cincinnati. Is he the answer to what FC Edmonton needs? With his permanent Canadian residency, he could be considered a domestic.

We then chat about Albert Watson becoming a permanent resident how that could affect the teams moves heading into the split season break.

This week we spend the bulk of our episode reviewing the ups and downs of the matches against Puerto Rico (huge low), New York (huge high) and Miami (meh). We also spend a fair amount of time discussing FC Edmonton's positive attendance figures and how long they need to do this before they get some support from the city in a larger stadium.

This week we break the format a bit and intro with a discussion had recorded at the last FCE match. For Kicks Podcast joins us to discuss FCE's 'Girls in Soccer' initiative and how important the women's game is in this country.

We also talked at length about the attendance and atmosphere at that match and how it could be a real turning point for how the team is perceived in this city. Of course we talk about the win, and how important it can be to set the tone of the upcoming busy week for the team.
