This week recap the Woodall Cup and how much of a success it was. It was a fantastic showing by all that was involved and amazing to see the community come together for such an important event.

We also dug deep into league results, especially Ottawa's strong play and how they have marched to the top of the NASL standings. They've been on an amazing run and it's great to see a Canadian club do so well.

On the other hand, FC Edmonton returned home to Clarke Field and had a really disappointing performance despite some key players returning from injury. We break that down, and also preview this weekends massive matchup between the Fury and Eddies in Ft. McMurray.

This week we get deep into talking about league wide results in Week 2 of the Fall Season. With the league bringing in midweek games, they is more than enough to discuss. We also get into FC Edmonton's brutal road trip and how they have come away with 5 points in a week to remain undefeated in the Fall Season and on top of the standings. It was a much better result than we were even hoping for and gets us thinking about a Snow Bowl.

Also, we talk about the upcoming Woodall Cup. Be sure to get your tickets and keep checking out the site for more info and silent auction items.

For the first time in a month, we strip it back to just the two of us. Plenty to talk about though. We recap the second week of NASL fall season action, including our thoughts on the online stream of One World Sports Wednesday Night Soccer. We also talk about the Eddies and their draw in Fort Lauderdale and how positive it was with the current injury situation.

In the second half, we look forward to a busy week with games on Wednesday and Saturday. We also talk more about a potential Canadian pro league and how FC Edmonton can work with it, as well as talking about a couple potential NASL expansion teams.

This week we bring in a special guest who is doing some great work for an amazing cause. Paul is helping to organize the Woodall Cup in memory of Constable Daniel Woodall who tragically lost his life on June 8, 2015. This event will go a long way to help support the family that Daniel left behind.

In the 2nd half, we get back to talking about FC Edmonton's start to the fall season. Even though it was a poorly reffed game, we manage to take a number of positives from it.

In this episode we do our best not to fan boy out completely with one of our favourite FC Edmonton players.

We sit down with John Smits (@RealJohnSmits) and have a fantastic candid conversation with him. We talk about his beginnings in soccer, how he became a keeper and what lead him to sign with FC Edmonton. We also chat a bit about gear, 'keeper psychology and his experiences with the call-up to the Montreal Impact on their historic run in the CONCACAF Champions League run.

We take advantage of the midseason break to bring in FC Edmonton assistant coach and Academy Director Jeff Paulus (@jeff_paulus). Jeff shares his beginnings in coaching, what brought him to Edmonton and eventually how he helped build and shape the academy to where it is today. We also get his thoughts on how the season is going so far, insight into the two newest signings and a slight hint towards the type of player they decide to eventually sign before the fall season kicks off.

Really, we covered so much in this conversation that you'll need to listen to catch everything. Special thanks to Jeff for sitting down with us and sharing his knowledge and insight.

This week it's just Nathan and Adam, but there are definitely no shortage of talking points this week.

First we discuss FC Edmonton's disappointing end to the spring season. We also break down what this means for Edmonton moving forward into the fall season. There's news that there will be 3 players coming to the team in the break, and we speculate/dream who that could be.

We then move on the the CanMNT and discuss their win against Dominica to kick off their 2018 World Cup qualification. Although it was 'only' 2-0, we can't help but feel optimistic about the future of this program.

Finally, we end off with what we've been most distracted with; the Women's World Cup and CanWNT. While not encouraging, we compare Canada's group play to their results at the Olympics and speculate who their next opponent could be.

Nathan is back after missing last weeks episode. We are also joined by a couple special guests, Rob with From the Black Hole (@FrTheBlackHole) and Dallas (@OnkelDal).

Be warned, this episode is very light on NASL and FC Edmonton news. We spend a lot of time talking about the Womens World Cup and how Edmonton and the other host cities have done so far in support for this event. We also discuss is this kind of support could help continued support for our national teams as well as FC Edmonton.

This week we record a podcast without Nathan since he's on holidays. But no worries, Tobi (@FTofD) joins Adam to talk briefly about the FC Edmonton game and league play. We also go in depth about the new rumoured Canadian soccer league and what it means to FC Edmonton and other soccer markets across this country. Finally, we end off this podcast with talk of the Womens World Cup.

We return as the dynamic duo with plenty to talk about. While the last minute loss to the Whitecaps had us feeling pretty gutted, we managed to take plenty of positives from the game. We talk about how the Eddies fared against a pretty strong Vancouver side and how amazing the crowd support was for this game.

We also get back to talking about league results and how encouraging Sundays wins against the Atlanta Silverbacks was. We also look forward to Fridays game against a familiar foe in the Ottawa Fury.

May 19, 2015

In this episode we are joined by a long time friend Tobi, who is known as FieldTurf of Dreams on twitter (@FToD). We get him to share his experience of witnessing Edmonton's historic result in Vancouver, joining the Curva Collective for a Cascadia Cup match against Seattle, and rushing back to catch our beloved Eddies play the next day. We also analyze the loss against the Scorpions, what to look forward to against Vancouver and we touch on the upcoming Atlanta game. Most of the podcast was influenced by PBR, hence the new intro music.

May 12, 2015

In this episode, we take the opporutnity to talk about the league results again and what went wrong for Edmonton. We also offer out opinion on the postponement of the Voyageurs Cup match in Edmonton and how it can changed the dynamic of this semi final.

Also, with news of Hartford expansion, we go in depth on other rumoured expansion locations and what it could mean for the league and FC Edmonton.

Where to start?

This week we recap Edmonton's convincing win against Ottawa to advance to the semifinals of the Voyageurs Cup. We also talk about the draw against Minnesota and quickly preview next weekends matchup against the mighty Cosmos.

OH YEAH! We also get our first ever (successful) guest on the podcast. Kasey from Northern Staring Elevan joins us to talk Whitecaps and how he thinks they matchup against Edmonton.

This is a monumental episode for us and we thank you for listening!

Apr 28, 2015

Even though it was a bye week for FC Edmonton in league play, there is still TONS of Eddies news and info to go through. We recap the Voyageurs cup game against Ottawa and preview the second leg in Edmonton. We also update #SmittyWatch2015, discuss the release of Hauksson, recap Week 4 of the spring season, preview the upcoming game against Minnesota and even find time to talk about the friendly against Foothills FC.

Thanks for downloading! #FearNoFoe

Apr 22, 2015

This week we recap the massive win against Fort Lauderdale with the introduction of a potential new segment in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. We also commend Colin Miller's substitutions that made a massive impact immediately.

We also attempted to get our first ever guest on the podcast in Graeme Ivory, Communications Director with the Ottawa Fury to preview the upcoming V-Cup came against the Fury. Failure ensues and we attempt to relay the key points he said to get a good idea on what to expect for the game.

Apr 15, 2015

In this episode, we break down Edmonton's game against the Carolina RailHawks. Topics covered are the poor opening game attendence and what contributed, Edmonton's inability to adjust to the wind and Van Oekel's brilliant game. We also discuss what is needed for Edmonton to get back into the race for the top spot for the Spring season.

Apr 8, 2015

This week we review the Eddies performance against Jacksonville (ugh!).

We break down what went wrong in Florida and the rest of the results in the league.

We also get quite distracted by Montreals CONCACAF Champions League win. And yes, there was a few John Smits sightings.

Apr 3, 2015

In our second ever podcast, we focus on the boys in blue. We break down the roster player by player, give our observations and what we can expect from them in 2015. We also give a brief preview of what we think will happen against the Jacksonville Armada.

Also, we get a little better at podcasting. But maybe that was a combination of the scotch/rum/cigars.

Thanks again for listening, and Happy Easter!

Apr 2, 2015

In our first podcast, we preview the upcoming 2015 NASL season.

We analyze the other teams roster moves and try to guess where they will finish in the upcoming spring season.

Just a couple of quick notes. This podcast was recorded on March 23, 2015. At that moment, Minnesota United moved to MLS was not announced, but we do mention the speculation. Also, Ottawa signs Julian De Guzman. Our guess in where the Fury end up in the standings does not reflect this move.

Thank you for listening, and we hope you enjoyed it! It's only going to get better and more fun from here on out!
