On this weeks episode, we look at the past week of games where we saw FC Edmonton once again get mocked for poor attendance and support among the league and even media personalities. We explain why that mentality isn't helping and is actually hurting the long term viability of the club.

We also preview the first round of matches in the Voyageurs Cup (Canadian Championship).

We also discuss Mason Trafford on the Cavs having a second job within the organization and how it opens the door to some problematic salary cap circumvention.

*Note: This episode was recorded ahead of the announcement of Jeff Harrop being announced as FC Edmonton's team president, effectively replacing Eric Newendorp*

On our first episode of 2022, we discuss the big news bomb that dropped during our little hiatus. FC Edmonton is now a league owned club, and we discuss at length what that means for team moving forward. We also talk about the lack of any type of news or player signings for the first 6 weeks of the year and how FCE is was behind every other team in player signings, marketing, etc.

We also discuss the 2022 schedule that was released, and how it may be the best home schedule FC Edmonton has ever had.

On our last episode of 2021, we recap the final that saw a new team win the North Star Shield. We talk about how Pacific played the perfect away game to become champions.

We also discuss if there is anything behind the perceived bias the league and OneSoccer has for Forge. On the flip side, we discuss how little attention FC Edmonton seems to be getting from the league.

And we wrap up this episode by talking about what we would like to see from the league heading into 2022.

We then talk about the surprising announcement of Jimmy Brennan leaving York United.

And finally, we discuss the ugly history of Kurt Larson's social media. With his past homophobic, misogynistic, racist and hateful posts we question his position of "Head of Content" for the leagues exclusive media partner and how it might be affecting what we see on TV.

We then discuss the season ticket renewals that were sent out this week. The pricing is fine, but we've got some other questions that need to be answered before renewing is a slam dunk.

Oct 28, 2021

On this weeks episode, we discuss FC Edmonton losing again (and big) which puts them in last place for the first time this year. We also discuss if this was the worst loss in FC Edmonton's history.

We then discuss the rumoured CPL branding creeping into the new BC division three league branding. We transition into talking about how this centralized branding is great from a corporate perspective, but loses a little bit in how local clubs/leagues capture the local flavour. FC Edmonton certainly feels like it's losing the "Edmonton" part of its name since joining the CanPL.

On this weeks episode, we have no FC Edmonton games but that doesn't stop us from finding topics to discuss. We start with the recent news of the new CONCACAF Champions League format in 2024, which will now feature 2 Canadian Premier League teams. We discuss how it can help the league grow and where the league will be in 2024.

With a bit of a break in FC Edmonton's schedule we look back at their recent form and as well as their upcoming games. We discuss their playoff chances, and more realistically their ability to jump 1-2 spots in the table.

We then discuss the Canadian Championship games this week, including the special nights for Halifax and York as they play MLS sides. Can either repeat Pacific's stunner against the Whitecaps?

On this weeks episode, we're able to focus on just one FC Edmonton game in the Canadian Premier League. We talk about the positives in a match where FC Edmonton deserved a win against the league leaders Pacific and how the starting eleven is shaping up to be the best for FC Edmonton in the CPL era.

We then use that positive momentum to discuss FC Edmonton's recent form. While they haven't been getting the results, they have been seeing some consistently strong efforts. We discuss how this could help them have a good finish to 2021 and build towards and even better 2022.

On this weeks episode, we start by discussing the recent town hall that was put on by the club. We address the weird timing of it and how is answered some questions we had about the club on and off the pitch. If you're wanting to hear the town hall in its entirety, please let us know!

We then move onto the busy week from FC Edmonton, which included 3 games against all the Western Canadian clubs. While results didn't necessarily go our way, the play on the pitch was pretty promising and looks like the team will be gearing up for a solid second half of the season.

On this weeks episode, we return to the world of positivity! We start by recapping the magical night where Pacific beat the Whitecaps in the Canadian Championship. We discuss the impressive atmosphere at Starlight Stadium, how it came through on the broadcast and how it reminded us of some special Canadian Championship games from FC Edmonton in the past.

We then move onto talking about a potential coaching carousel that may be happening in Canadian soccer. Whitecaps let go of Marc Dos Santos after the loss, but does he have a home in the Canadian Premier League? Who from the CPL can potentially jump up and be the new Whitecaps head coach?

We then finish on FC Edmonton's impressive draw against the Cavs in another Al Classico match up. FCE had the lead twice but ended up settling for the draw in a very gritty game that was inspiring after the last 2 dismal performances.
